To start off this review on CytoSport Monster Pump, I'm going to talk about some of the product details. As I read the label it says 25 grams of carbohydrates. A lot of pre-workout supplements don't come close to this many carbohydrates. I think this is great as the carbs will help fuel the muscles and restore lost glycogen while you train. I also notice L-Glutamine. This is will help recovery long after your workout. Amino acids are key due to the fact that they are the building blocks of protein. As far as energy goes, Monster Pump has 200mg of caffeine. This is pretty standard for most pre-workout powders. Now on to the actual product review.

Energy - 8/10

If you are a stimulant junky, you may want to shy away from this product. I never felt that crazy rush of caffeine followed by jittery legs with this product. Instead, I felt a steady amount of energy stretched throughout my entire workout. With other N.O. products I feel great for about 30 minutes then my energy and focus decrease. Overall I felt energized throughout my entire workout and never had a crash.

Pump - 9/10

I think they call it Monster Pump for a reason. If you're looking for real pumps that last, this is the product for you. The first 10 minutes I was in the gym I felt my skin get a little tighter and my overall volume start to increase. I'm currently about one hour post workout and I'm still feeling pretty pumped. Overall, in the pump category it gets an A.

Taste - 8/10

Monster Pump comes in 4 flavors: Sour Grape, Fruit Punch, Blue Raspberry, and Tangy Orange. The flavor I tried was Tangy Orange. I guess they call it Tangy Orange for a reason, tastes just like Tang. The directions say mix one scoop with 16oz of water. I did about 12oz-13oz and it was pretty strong tasting. I would advise around 16oz like the directions say. Overall, the taste wasn't bad. Just make sure you like orange before you buy this product.

Mix - 10/10

This product mixes very well, about 6 shakes in my blender bottle and the Monster was ready to drink. No chunks and a good consistency.

Overall - 9/10

I was very impressed with this product. At first I was expecting it to be all hype. I was wrong. With the carbohydrate and monster focus complex I was working harder than ever before. I would suggest this product to anyone looking for a nice energy boost and some good pumps. This product is great stacked with the entire monster line.
