Getting Results   by Trainer

A lot of people are asking themselves why aren't I getting any bigger. There could be a number of different variables impeding your desired results. Right away there are probably a few things you may have in mind that you question. The first and most common question would be, are you eating enough calories? The majority of people who lack results in the gym aren’t eating enough calories to feed your muscles. Look at it this way; good clean calories are like an automotive mechanic in a sense that they repair damage done to your muscles while working out. Your muscles don't get stronger or bigger in the gym; they get stronger and bigger while you rest. If you're not getting enough of the essential calories that your muscles need they aren’t going to repair, therefore they won't get any bigger or stronger.

                                                                                            

The next variable is consistency in the gym, how many times per week and how consistent are the workouts. A lot of people think they can hit the gym hard once or twice a week with a random routine and become a monster, it doesn't work like that. The key to getting results is to be consistent and workout with perfect form. A lot of injuries occur in the gym every day due to poor form. A buddy of mine asked if I could give him a few pointers in the gym, specifically on squats. I told him to do a set of 5 for me so I could see his form. The first thing I noticed was the placement of his weight. He was bent over with the majority of his weight over his toes. After a few quick pointers his weight was back on his heels and his squat weight went up by 50 pounds. This is a prime example of how bad technique can hinder your results.
